"Easy train and bus ride from where the hotel was to Charmonix . Only issue of the train was it ended early by 8 pm and there was times it did not stop at Taconaz and you had to be prepared to walk back"

One of the best breakfasts we've had in years of travel to Europe. Very kid- and pet-friendly. It can be noisy at night (rowdy bar-hoppers at 5 a.m.), so bear that in mind. "Staff were helpful, directed us to the (paid, reserved in advance) parking on arrival. Hotel is a pleasant 20 minute walk into Annecy around the edge of the lake. The room was adequate, not great. Breakfast seemed overpriced but there were bakeries nearby. There are other public carparks opposite the hotel which are free at certain days/times of the year. Bed was comfy and overall cleanliness was fine. A good option if you don't want to pay the excess to stay in the noisy centre of Annecy."

"Charming stay in Les Houches at the Chalet Hotel Du Bois. Staff were incredibly friendly and facilities were perfect for our stay. Excellent pool, bar and restaurant facilities. Bedroom was perfectly comfortable for our ski stay and we would absolutely stay again!"

"Great boutique hotel. We were upgraded to the Junior Suite which was incredible. The front desk staff were very helpful and gave us great recommendations. Only downside was that the Jacuzzi was closed (shoulder season), but the front desk staff directed us to QC Therme just down the road. Slightly more expensive, but well worth the price. "when I booked the hotel I was promised a code for late entry - i never received it but on the morning of the stay I was promised it again - but they never sent it - I couldn’t risk not having somewhere to stay late at night with young children so I had to book another hotel - they then charged my crefit card the full amount and sent me the code very late in the day when I didn’t have internet access.
