"I travel a lot both in Canada and actually just got back from driving to Georgia and back and stayed at 5 different hotels.
I can't say enough good things about this hotel and the staff especially. It was the most amazing experience I have ever had staying at a hotel. Attentive, kind, friendly, amazing is how I would describe every single staff member we met from front desk staff to cleaning crew to Kitchen crew for the really great breakfast the next morning. I will never stay anywhere...
"Hotel needs an upgrade. Balcony door to our room on 2nd floor would not lock. Furniture in room was marked up. Room smelled terrible. Doors around pool location on 2nd floor were rusted & the whole place was in need of attention.
Breakfast was suppose to be hot but was old.
Overall not impressed. Will not stay at this location again."
"We have stayed here multiple times and it is such a refreshing change from other accommodation in Barrie. Always very clean rooms, lobby and pool areas.
Staff always very polite and cheery which includes both front desk, staff and any of the maintenance staff that we run into.
It’s in a great location just easily off the highway, with a Tim Hortons just down the street and a grocery store just across the street. We love how much quieter it is in this area compared to other Barrie exits."
"The unit we stayed was great! Nicely furnished, very comfortable and nice private outdoor area. We enjoyed the unit. Also had very good meals at 4 different restaurants - enjoyed those.
The reason we would not come back is there are too many rules/restrictions for renters -ie only 2 set hours at the pool, no available chairs on the beach, no use of the gym, even restricted times at the volleyball area.
As an owner of a similar type of property outside Canada when I rent my unit my...
"We were pleasantly surprised by how spacious the rooms were. Having 2 units side by side was perfect for us traveling with our young kids. The pool on the property was a big hit, the kids spent a lot of time there. Would recommend!"
"What a beautiful home and fantastic hosts. The location was perfect! We were walking distance from everything when needed and wanted including the marina, great restaurants and quaint shops. The breakfast was delicious and served in the dining room. A way nicer experience than you could get at a hotel and cheaper! We will definitely book again if we return to Midland. Thanks Ross and Ginette for your hospitality!"
