"The rooms were lovely and big, the only issues were that either the jacuzzi bath didn't work or we couldn't work out how to use it, as we couldn't find instructions. The windows are quite draughty and we couldn't work out how to turn off the bathroom light. However, the bed was very comfortable, there is a nice kitchenette, and it's very well situated!"

"Very charming staff, great breakfast as well as thoughtful service, sorted a breakfast for my hubby to go and even remembered the order next day. Room was lovely and toasty, just what you need after a frolick in the forest. Slept very well. Lots of walks nearby, even saw owls. EXCEPTIONAL food, rare for these days they cater for folks with proper appetites! Loved the friendly field cat! Thank you for a wonderful time we loved it. 🙏"

Overall, the rooms are basic but more importantly, clean. However, for the rate I booked was £160. This amount of money, I found it poor value. There is no desk to work from, the bedside tables are in the region of £20 each and there is no surface area on the bathroom for your toiletries. The restaurant...

"Excellent quiet location. Traditional pub atmosphere with log fire welcoming you on arrival. Breakfast was superb especially the eggs royal."

"Next to a very busy, noisy road. Cobwebs in bedroom and bathroom plus a long dark hair on my hand towel, which I wiped on my face. The staff were very nice and the food was good though. I wouldn’t return due to cleanliness and noise"
