"It was OK. The hotel is old and well located. It has a nice swimming pool. The use of the jacuzzi is limited to half hour only. I wouldn’t recommend the food. There are better restaurants in the area. "

"We really enjoyed our stay here. We had lake views from our rooms and there were various sitting and dining areas overlooking the lake. Staff in all locations were very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast and dinners we ate at the hotel were delicious - and the coffee freshly made, a treat (except for only powdered decaf for 1 of the adults). "In the middle of Panajachel but once you walk inside is like you are away from everything. You can hear the birds singing in the morning... quite beautiful. You can walk around but there is also transportation. The staff is absolutely amazing! Everyone is personable and very helpful. "

The staff is very friendly… they do play the same playlist over and over again by the pool and that’s quite annoying. Music is loud & on by 9am. The room was kept clean by staff, and I had some good roommates. I stayed with 3 other girls. The food is very GOOD! There’s also free food in the communal kitchen left by other guests. No one...

"El Picnic was absolutely incredible! Waking up to views of lake atitlan was a highlight of our trip. The service, food, and property were great. The town is not as great, it wasn’t a town at the top of my list to explore while in the area, but visiting El Picnic for a night was an unforgettable experience and definitely a highlight of our visit to the lake overall.
