" Had a lovely room full of character, and the place itself is set in lovely grounds, check in was easy and seamless. The only minor gripe i would have, would be that at breakfast time which again was excellent, was that the baked beans seemed cold from the serve station. Apart from that very minor thing i would certainly recommend staying there, and i will again im sure"

"We just needed a place as a base for a few days away. It did the job. Room was large enough. Clean enough. Tea and coffee. Good shower. Decent bed. Cheap and cheerful. Free parking. We didn’t use any facilities or food etc"

"The room was clean. But could do with an update. A small bedside table or shelf would help. Very impressed with the house keeping, room cleaned everyday and replaced tea and coffee, milk. Also towels, and toiletries. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. P.S the bed was very comfortable. But no pillow or mattress protectors!!!"

"A proper, traditional hotel which is quite quirky in its layout. Staff very attentive and friendly, really comfy bed."

"The rooms are spacious with a decent sized bathroom and amazing shower. The food in the restaurant was lovely and reasonably priced. Breakfast was cooked to order and not sat on a hotplate, which was really good. Overall the stay way enjoyable and we will be staying again next time we are in the area."

"This is a hotel in the high street. It has a very small car park at the rear (5 or 6 vehicles), and behind that there is a public car park (no charge in the evening). This is an old building, there is a lift but there are still stairs to negotiate when out of lift. I was in a room on the 2nd floor. It was okay, ensuite bathroom okay. No view from the window in the room (but I had not booked the room for a view)."
