"First of all I knew from previous reviews the hotel was showing its age but my view was it had alot of charisma and charm. It also checked all the boxes for me on being convienently located, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Everything in my room functioned fine and my bed was comfortable. The breakfast provided was a wonderful way to start the day. I would not hesitate to stay again."

"The room was comfortable enough, and convenient for the station, a ten minute walk to the canals and town centre. Breakfast was not worth the 12€ extra, fruit salad out of a can and fruit juice poor quality. Much better value at brunch places in town. Bring a kettle if you want in-room coffee or tea, although finding somewhere to plug it might be awkward. The rooster mentioned in other reviews seems to have ended up on someone’s dinner table, no sign of it while we were there. But overall happy...

"For the price, this property was good. A little tired- but has a cozy feel, like your aunt’s house in Des Moines. There were no frills- a bed, shower, tv and there is no elevator - but it’s only 2 floors. Location is perfect for exploring Aveiro. Drawbacks- it was very cold in our room. "This place was fantastic- clean, cute and close to everything and great staff helping! Only downfall was taking luggage up 6 flights of stairs if you are in apt 5.1 and the low wooden beams in ceiling! Watch your head! "
