"This is a 170 year old hotel with an elevator from the 1920's and it does show its age but it's conveniently located right on the main street going through the tourist destination of Placerville. Acceptable cleanliness and staff was very friendly and helpful. The decor and carpeting and fixtures showed a significant amount of wear. If you're looking for the fun and the ambiance of the town it's good - if you're looking for a hotel comparable to Marriott or Hyatt it's not in that category."

"The property was amazing! The only issue we had was with the door pad code. The one I received in my information e-mail was incorrect, but Lynette was quick to answer my phone call and tell me the correct code. In all honesty the correct code made more sense and I should have questioned the e-mail as soon as I got it. Before we left, we were already thinking of wht other events in the area may be coming up that we could stay there again."
