"Literal perfect stay. Location is gorgegous and everyone from Peter at the front desk to the lovely women working the bar and kitchen are beautiful hosts. Staying here made the entire experience in Moshi that more impressive. Highly recommend. "

"Stay here, it's awesome in every way."

"Yes there is a bumpy 15 minute ride from the main road but the pay off is a tranquil environment to relax at Kili Villa. Our room had a lovely outlook to the gardens where local fauna and birds did their thing. The staff were welcoming and courteous, and the food was delicious. Perhaps the experience could have been improved with better communication about food and drink options when we arrived (with an explanation card). There are no other options for F&B in the area (aside from the golf club)...

"The property is an actual farm. Belinda was so friendly and accommodating. We needed a place to stay for just a few hours between flights. She gave us a tour, and even cooked us lunch before heading back to the airport. "

"This is probably the nicest hotel in central Moshi for Europeans on their first trip to the region. You have to remember that this is Africa and things don't always work but on balance this is a good safe place to stay. Once lesson for us was we were pretty much the only Europeans in the town, trekkers and safari people tend to stay outside, so be prepared, this is a busy African town not a tourist place"

"I really enjoyed spending time at this hotel. The staff are very welcoming and wonderful people to be around. The staff made sure that I had a shuttle to go around town and a safe way to get there, had a secure place to store the remaining luggage, and they made delicious food for breakfast and at the restaurant. I would highly recommend to stay at the Stella Maris Lodge."

"Truly loved staying here. The rooms are spacious, clean, and the entire property has so much charm and character, beautifully decorated. The staff are amazing! Attentive, kind, and helpful. We returned with badly muddied shoes after a hike of Mt Kilimanjaro and left our shoes on the front porch. To our amazement, we woke up to spotlessly cleaned shoes that were also packed in a travel bag for us. The food was great and very reasonably priced. "I had a wonderful day at this hotel. Everyone was so welcoming from the staff. One of the staff members took me to my room, carry my luggage and also ensure that I was able to get room service to my room. They also have a complementary shuttle to the airport, which is amazing. The property is so nice and the food is delicious when I come back I will definitely be staying in this hotel."

"Warm, smiling reception, with gratis juice served while processing my checkin. This serene lodge has its origins dating back approximately 70 years ago as a German compound. It has become a mature, East African arboretum with bungalows. Want to get outside of the hotel bubble … this peaceful, gated sanctuary is for you."

"The bathroom was dirty and not cared properly. I had to buy toilet-bowl cleaner to whiten the bowl.Hot water was so-so, either got it too cold or too hot The bathroom was badly done - when you take a shower the water splashes all over where the toilet and sink are. Judging by the poor breakfast , which I had only 4 times in my 2 weeks stay, I never had any meals at the hotel. Around the hotel there are reasonably priced restaurants for a good meal. The staff is exceptionally pleasant and helpful but the hotel need a revamping big time. The air conditioning was okay. There was big gaping tear in one of the curtains which was not very nice. All in all my stay was okay but it could have been better."
