"Our room (33) was very good - spacious with an excellent en suite. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional (especially Sue at breakfast). We didn’t use it but there’s a lovely big swimming pool "

Spoilt a little as we stayed previously and didn't have to pay for the pool etc. This time however we did as we booked through Expedia, although we tried to book direct there was no room availability. I think it should be as it says on the best western website,if your a resident then it's all included."

"Super clean historic house converted to a really nice, informal hotel. They offer breakfast and have a bar for drinks. Central location and friendly staff. Easy to get to restaurants, shops, pubs and public transport. Not sure about parking as we travelled by train. "Everything was fine. The hotel is close to the train station (2 minute amble) which has all the local bus stops outside. There's an Asda and Lidl on either side of the station and the main shopping strip (with restaurants and nightspots) is a five minute walk down the hill. The only suggestion for improvement is to add some salad to the hot breakfast area, as sausages, bacon and scrambled eggs every day can be a bit dull."
