"We had a fantastic 3 night stay here for a family wedding which was in nearby location. Our room was spotlessly clean and well appointed with a huge walk in wardrobe and a decent supply of hangers. We had dinner on 2 nights and the food was of excellent quality and very generous portions with a great choice. "Centrally located so we were able to walk to many shops and restaurants as well as historic sites. Parking in the back made it easy to drive to other cities and sites. The staff was very accommodating and worked around our schedule for room maintenance."

"Not too far from the centre of town for a shop or extra facilities, however, close enough to a main road to hear traffic during the day, not an issue. Would have liked to be able to stream or cast to the rooms television as me and the other half just wanted to relax during our stay, however, that's a very specific want and has no bearing on the accommodation. All in all, was a lovely weekend away, relaxing and the staff were ever so lovely."

"Very convenient in the centre of the town. Hotel is quite shabby and could definitely benefit from an update. Upholstery worn on chairs and carpets are well worn in all the public areas and the paintwork is badly in need of redecorating. However the bedrooms were clean and adequate, the staff were lovely and really helpful. We ate our evening meal for 3 nights in the dining room and the food was delicious and service was really good. Breakfast was also really good. Would recommend ."

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Stroud Hotel. The staff were welcoming on our arrival and we enjoyed an excellent meal and well prepared cocktails at lunchtime (I can highly recommend the risotto.) There was everything we needed except milk for the room but we were given fresh milk on request which, whilst lovely, wasn’t necessary as small cartons of UHT would have been fine for our short stay.
