"Lovely room. Great breakfast selection. Very clean. Lovely indoor and outdoor pools. Comfortable lounge area. Staff all Lovely and helpful. Only stayed one night but recommend and will be staying there when I visit Barnstaple again."

"An initial, disappointing start to our stay was quickly remedied, quietly, politely and professionally. From then on everything was so much better. The Hotel is probably a little understaffed (a reflection of the economic strains of current hospitality?) so often a Team member had to be searched out but once found were polite, attentive and friendly. Our room, a late booking so limited choice, was compact but nevertheless comfortable with an excellent rain shower in the bathroom and a good view of the river. We found a delightful lounge on the first floor from which we could watch the world go by as the river ebbed and flowed whilst enjoying the occasional glass of beer, or two!! Dinner on each night was a lovely occasion in a stylish dining room, well cooked food, nicely presented and served by delightful staff."
