"We found it challenging to find the entrance to the hotel from the airport, you can’t enter from the outside, only from a tube connecting the terminal. One elevator was broken and the other was extremely slow and often full from staff with carts of dishes or housekeeping supplies. The food in the bar was pretty awful and overpriced. "I rarely write reviews but I needed to express our extreme disappointment at the standard of the Rose and Crown Hotel in Tonbridge. The external elevations are very tired but when inside it gets far worse. As with the outside, paint is peeling off everywhere and it looks as though no maintenance or upgrading has been carried out for many, many years. However, the worst thing is the lack of cleanliness. "We stayed at this hotel on the hottest day of the year, and the experience was extremely disappointing. When we booked, we were guaranteed that a fan would be provided at the very minimum. However, when we arrived, there was no fan available. Instead of trying to help, the staff told us to “just deal with it” because the promise had apparently been made by the day-shift employees, not the night staff. That is not an acceptable way to treat guests, especially in such uncomfortable conditions....

"Drunk male receptionist took ages to check us in , then given me a room I haven’t book . I have booked one family large room 145 - two green standing single beds and double bed room and I was given one double bed , one single and pull out of this bed to sleep on the floor type matrasse bed , when I questioned this he said that I was suppose to be told this when booked - nonsense I booked via this page with photos of the room - freestanding two single beds !!!"
