"If you are drawn to this hotel by seeing it on People of the North, then prepare to be disappointed. The location is lovely and the rooms are large, and of course the view of the fjord is stellar, but there are several areas for disappointment. The dinner menu, for example, remains the same night after night. There is a "white fish of the week," rather than a selection of fish for main courses. There is lamb; it is fine. "The good and the bad....
Good: The room was spacious and had great views; the check-in staff was friendly.
Bad: The eggs, sausage, and beans were cold at breakfast, even though we were the first ones there right as it opened. Which was a shame, as it was all tasty; it was just off-putting to be cold when it was supposedly freshly made.
Worst: While the room was spacious and had those views, it lacked any soundproofing! Our room (106) had an adjoining door with the room next door, and we could...
