"Can't say enough good things about our stay. We enjoyed it so much we extended an extra 2 days (stayed 5). The breakfast buffet is the best we've had in 2 months. The staff are friendly and will do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable. Kandersteg is a lovely village that's not overrun with tourists. There's great hiking in the area and it's convenient to the other, more well known areas."

"For a basic hotel, very good. No AC (but they never said there was, so that's OK). What I liked is that it was very quiet outside our room, so having the windows open on a hot night wasn't a problem. And in contrast to many hotels, while they had a duvet on the bed, they also provided a very light blanket, so it wasn't an all or nothing covering situation. And they had extra pillows. "This hotel was a great value for the money (at least in terms of Swiss prices :). The staff spoke enough English and allowed us to store our bags there till checkin. All the facilities were clean and the room was quite modern. They also have a free sauna and pool which were very relaxing. The Leukerbad bus drops you off just a 5min walk from the hotel. "Funky parking. Small lot nearby was full and the public parking garage isn’t convenient. It’s free overnight but the meter starts ticking at 8am. My room had really inconvenient place to plug in and charge -everything had to be on the floor. Weird that in this day and age a hotel would make it so inconvenient. They don’t tell you if you get late you are to be locked out of the parking,one night we were able to get in with a card they gave us, next night they didn’t have the card and we had to park somewhere else that at the end was cheaper. They didn’t apologized or cared about our inconvenience."
