"I booked three of my engineers into Abbey Lodge Hotel for a one-night stay, and the conditions were appalling. There was no hot water, both the towels and the room smelt strongly of mould, and the shower was rusted and heavily covered in limescale. The overall standard of cleanliness was completely unacceptable and raised serious hygiene concerns. I have genuinely seen homeless shelters maintained to a cleaner and safer standard. In my opinion, the property requires urgent inspection and should...

"Despite the construction/roadwork being done outside, the room was quiet at night. No air conditioning but the shades and fan made the room comfortable for sleeping. There is a lovely garden out back where we sat for breakfast. Less than 1 block from rail station and a very easy walk to downtown Oxford. We were able to leave luggage there much of our last day while we continued to explore the town. It was very handy to then walk to the train and head to the next destination"

"Good location for buses, bus stop for The John Radcliffe just over the road and the bus station just round the corner. Plenty of eating places, pubs etc on a busy road but didn't hear any noise even with the window open. Room was clean and tidy, plenty of coffee, tea and biscuits and a fan which was needed. If I was being picky the over blanket ( which wasn't needed in summer looked like it had just been thrown into the wardrobe, instead of neatly folded but extra pillows were supplied.)"
