"Just ok"

"Worst night sleep I’ve had! The hotel seemed dated, the room was freezing cold, it wasnt the cleanest and the curtain was broken. There were small velux type windows in the room with no blinds and a very bright green emergency exit light above the bed. The shower was powerful but unable to move the head very much which resulted in a jet blast to the forhead and nowhere else. It was a maze to get to the room, of which you needed to remember 2 different key-codes before getting to your door....

"Street is missing a trick. The town is crying out for a great, modern hotel with the facilities to challenge what is currently available - it would be an absolute winner. I chose Mullions simply because of the limited options for overnight stays in the area. Unfortunately, the room itself was incredibly tired. I was met with broken furniture, dusty bedside surfaces and lamps, and a distinct smell of damp in the bathroom. Worse still, while the towels appeared clean, they carried a noticeable...

"The hotel was really a hostel and did not match up with images on their website. We were expecting to be staying in a country house hotel not a youth hostel. The only facility we had was wifi. The room was clean but very basic with no ability to make ourselves a tea or coffee without walking down two flights of very steep steps to the kitchen which was a health and safety nightmare - no idea why they could not have put a tea/ coffee station on the top floor. There was no television...

"For the price can't complain as you also get free parking. The room was clean and tidy with clear instructions as to how to access the room key. The restaurant is dog friendly also and food delicious. Just bear in mind it can be noisy in the room until the restaurant closes but not a massive issue."

"Cosy traditional b&b room above the pub itself, surprisingly quiet (never heard a sound) even though the pub below is a very popular place and full every night. Nice breakfast, good evening meal, can’t fault the place. Patrick and the locals were very friendly, we happily chatted amongst them all evening on both nights we stayed. All in all a very good time, would we stay again? Absolutely no problem at all."

"This is my second time at this property. I liked it so much I went back. With a change of ownership it’s only got better and Emma - Jane and her team are spot on in everything they do. I could not praise them highly enough. Rooms are well proportioned, clean and the shared spaces are great. The food is exceptional."

"Host not present in arrival, needed to phone to get access to property. Room good with comfortable bed. On suite had half height shower cubicle. Shower head needed cleaning and also no waste bin in ensure. Breakfast was very good and Simon was very friendly"

"We had a lovely warm welcome from our lovely host who was so helpful and made us feel at home . It is a cosy , peaceful ,homely place with good vibrations . It was great to have the use of a shared kitchen, to cook a meal anytime! We helped ourselves to a continental breakfast and enjoyed the peaceful dining area overlooking the Tor! Next door is the comfy crystal room which was so very relaxing and rejuvenating. We were unsure about the shared bathrooms but no problem they were always free...

"Great property and location with a stunning view of the the Axe valley, Axmouth and Seaton. Very hospitable hosts and an excellent breakfast. Nice lounge and good parking, great place for a resting break and plenty to do and see in the area."

"The yurt itself was amazing, beautiful and very clean with the added charm of your own private hot tub and fire pit, the downside for us was the private toilet/ shower was situated away from the yurt and at night no lighting & very dark the torch provided sadly didnt work. The communal kitchen are was beautiful however the induction hob didn’t work, a Pyrex oven dish that was filthy with caked on food, a couple of dirty pan and pan cupboard that needed cleaning, otherwise to a high spec finish....
