"Was beautifully clean - which is quite important to me, so I was impressed. The bed was very comfortable and the snacks and small breakfast in the room was a lovely touch. Lady who greeted my partner was very pleasant and helpful. Only one downfall if you are a light sleeper is that the hotel is opposite a clocktower which chimes on the hour, every hour. "The room was exactly as shown in the photos! Very easy check in, everywhere was spotless. Beds were more comfortable than my own at home. Bottles of water left in the bathroom for us, bathroom was also extremely clean, shower was lovely. Fresh milk left in the room in a chillis bottle, along with tea coffee and kettle. "OK Lodge is just a name; what is is is a (nicely) extended and converted terraced house opposite a park; so now a few studio flats, with some common areas. Modern and clean but a couple of issues - like oven not even wired in; no table to eat off; and also whilst we booked for 3 adults and was confirmed; they called to say max was 2 adults & a child and would not refund the extra £50 for the 3rd adult (who couldn't now come of course) and I had to go through Expedia to get resolved. "I arrived at the property only to be told that it was not a hotel, or guest house or anything but a ‘Retirement Home’! There was no Valentine Inn, never has been and go away. The venue is a con, I think that someone within the place hires out rooms when the manager is scheduled to be away. Kindly refund my payment, you need to remove this from your site."
