"We had a wonderful experience at the Barn. The cabin was well-kept, and very charming. The location was great, in the woods, and right by Abel Tasman. Bathrooms were clean, and staff were very helpful, even with our late check-in. Highly recommend!"

"Great spot for our overnight stay. Easy walk to restaurants & supermarket"

"Extremely convenient location with parking"

"Clean, tidy and has all you need. Had kitchen cabin with no bathroom, was very spacious. Happy with our stay. We were happy with shared bathroom, very clean and fresh."

"Good location. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Kitchenette with fridge and microwave enabling self-catering. "

"Lovely staff. Had single room which was comfortable and warm. However the smell of weed from guests who appeared to be long-term Sawyers was a put off. Seems like the hostel is like a emergency accommodation place . The hostel policy is no drugs so these guests and the area they smoke in near carpark in a shed area needs sorting. Not acceptable at all."

"Merci à Steward pour son accueil et ses conseils"

"Beautiful view and ideal for access to Abel Tasman. Very nice property. "

"One of a kind experience. Incredibly attentive staff, beautiful and spacious rooms. Service was 10/10. Amazing breakfast (included) with more than you could possibly imagine. Plus a lovely cocktail hour with delicious cocktails and bites. Free taxi service to dinners in town. Can’t recommend Pihopa enough!"

"This place is perfection! The location, decor, service, food, drink, attentiveness to your comfort was impeccable. We stayed for 3 nights in the Jacuzzi Suite and the owners, Alan & Luba, made feel instantly at home. "

"Lodge by the Beach was one of the most memorable lodgings we’ve ever stayed in. Designed and built by the architect-owner, Alan with industrial grade materials for safety and various art pieces brought in from overseas, the property is truly amazing. Perched atop a hill near the Split Apple Rock with breathtaking views of the ocean and lush forests, it even offers the private access to a secluded, pristine beach, which made our stay feel like a true escape from the world. "The twin room was next to the kitchen where people came in and had very loud concersations until 2.30am and the first people in the morning arrived at 6.30am. The only windows where to the kitchen and the hallway and there was no fresh air. Over all too hot and too noisy to get enough sleep."
