"The desk staff and breakfast attendant were extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel was older and could use some general maintenance. Our bathroom outlet didn't work, for example. Every area smelled nice which was clearly intentional on the part of the owners. "

"The room was comfortable, but the cleaning staff were very eager to come into our room in the morning, in spite of the do not disturb sign. They arrived the first time about 30 minutes before check-out time and we told them we were getting ready to go. They came back 3 minutes after 11 am and entered the room even though the sign was still up and I was not completely dressed. Really not appropriate behaviour for a man to enter when a woman says she is not ready yet."

"Booked thru the Expedia site using debit MasterCard because I don't have a credit card. Upon checking in I was told that a credit card was MANDATORY for checking in. The manager did not have a way to bypass it(or she wouldn't) so I have to go back and get a card from my mother in law just to check in. It was not clearly mentioned during the process of reserving the room on Expedia site. It caused a headache and almost $80 in cab fare to get the cc. If it's required, it needs to be mentioned...
