"The room we stayed was so poor quality and too old nd very less maintained. The full carpet was dirty and stains with a very bad smell. The wardrobe in the room doesn’t have a door . The bathroom roof has a very big mark of dirty water leakage from the room or bathroom ups stairs. There is not even a shower curtain n the bathroom , so that we couldn’t bath . The tiles , window and window re covered with mold and not cleaned for ages . The room is not at all in an acceptable stage to stay or give...
"A cheap and cheerful night on the outskirts of Derby. The hotel is rather hidden away and not well signposted.
I checked in, room was clean with tea/coffee available.

"Upon arrival to Splash Landings we went to the bar to order drinks. Over 10 minutes later we still had no drinks as the barman could not operate the till or simply pour a slushy.
When we had breakfast in the morning it took longer to find a clean plate than it did to get breakfast.
The beds were very hard and uncomfortable but we were only staying one night so we made do.
I always strip the beds after we stay over at hotels to help the domestic staff and I was utterly disgusted by the bedding...
"Although the hotel overall is in need of a lot of renovation, (new carpets, decorating,updating the bathroom etc), the bedsheets etc were clean as was the sink, toilet and shower. Unfortunately the television only received a handful of Freeview channels and on the 2nd morning the electric shower stopped working. "I really enjoyed our stay at the lodge and overall we had a very good experience. The inside was above our expectations. The rooms were newly refurbished, clean and comfortable, and the kitchen and dining areas were also really nicely done. The beds were comfortable and everything felt fresh and well looked after.
The caretaker was extremely helpful and supportive throughout our stay, and we received really good customer service, which made us feel very welcome.

"I turned up at the property just after 18:00 hours and there was no key to enter the property, no messages, no contact phone number, etc. As it was getting darker, and I was feeling less safe, I had to book another hotel, arrange Uber ride, and travel to another accommodation. "I used it for Download Festival, it’s really close and there’s a bus stop right outside so it was perfect and a bargain for the price. There’s a persistent smell of damp, but I always carry a room spray with me. Other than that, absolute bargain, lovely people, plenty of space and I’d definitely go back."
"I liked the whole security of the place and the little kettle with condiments offered. I didn't like how there was only 1 flat pillow the stains on the carpets were not great and the walk to the reception especially when the sat back doesn't take you anywhere near is ridiculous. Reception should be close to the accomodation in my opinion. None the less the staff were really helpful with directions and very welcoming"
"I go away with work most weeks and this has to be up there with one of the best places I have stayed in. Would love to come back in the summer. I’ve now booked up for my third successive week. The kitchen is perfect, plenty of work space and well laid out. Bit of confusion over the microwave until I realised it was built into the oven. Maybe do with a washing machine. Great surroundings and a great place to stay."

Georgina the owner was extremely friendly & her communication for check in was excellent. The home itself was newly renovated to an exceptionally high standard.
