"The room was clean, had everything we needed , beds were comfy very comfy , had all the amenities including air con and running hot water which catered to me and my family of 4. Very quiet and you even get views of Lake Taupo from the room . For the price we paid we got more than we bargained for 👏. Props to the house keepers whom work hard day in day out to get these rooms looking the way they do for guests.
Only downside is when you’re going to the pools be mindful it’s A steep walk down and...
"Extremely disappointing and unacceptable.
Our family checked in late at night and discovered multiple pet hairs/fur all over the bed. This was particularly concerning as we were travelling with young children who have very sensitive skin and can react to pet fur.
Unfortunately, we only discovered the problem after we had already showered and settled in. We immediately contacted the property owner and Expedia to report the issue, but no one from the property contacted us or made any attempt to...
"We stayed here last year and booked again well ahead of time and were given a room on the noisy side and up on the top floor and the lift only goes to the first floor, it's got more run down since our last stay, no knob on toilet cistern, no teaspoons, no plug for hand basin and kitchen very rough "
"The cabin was not stand alone. The map suggests that it may be divided into two however there were at least 4 single rooms attached to ours which were not sound proofed, so could hear everything from the other rooms.
The bbq was rusty and no foil provided so was not able to be used.
The room was not clean with cobwebs everywhere which were old so had not been dusted.
The table inside was hanging off the wall so was scared to put anything on it and you couldn’t sit outside because of the...
"The entire booking through Expedia online was a scam. There is NO Lake Haven Suites in Taupo. I demand a full refund. The address given on the confirmation email is that of Cobb & Co. There is a Lake Haven Apartments, but they don't take bookings through Expedia and they had no record of a booking in my name. SCAM"
"Great first time experience staying in a hostel only problem is if you are staying out of town for a sports event be prepared for a team to possibly be staying at the same accom and it is by chance things can be a little noisey and kitchen and lounge may be a bit crowded"
"The room didn’t look the greatest but the bathroom was sparkling clean and the fun atmosphere of the place was very nice. Overall I think it was great value."
"Friendly hosgt couldn't have been more accommodating. Clean, tidy room, relatively quiet for a hostel-type place. Would recommend for those seeking a good room at a bargain price."
