"Our room was comfortable with a lovely view of the sea and the port. It was well appointed with an excellent bathroom and shower, and plenty of storage space.
There was a small balcony with beautiful views out to sea.
The staff were friendly and helpful, in particular Sylvia, who was excellent.
The only negative is that there is quite a bit of road noise and aeroplanes regularly taking off from Heraklion airport - so earplugs are definitely necessary!"
"Wir waren für 2 Nächte in Matala. Check in distanziert und wenige, eher lustlose Infos. Unsere Reservierung wurde nicht gefunden, leider hatte man eher das Gefühl, das dass unsere Schuld war. Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig, das Bad schön mit ordentlich Wasserdruck. Balkon eher lieblos, kein einziger Schattenplatz, nur durch eine kleine Mauer vom Nachbarn abgetrennt. Dadurch kaum Nutzbar und zudem laut. Strom funktioniert nur mit eingesteckter Zimmerkarte. Pool nur zwischen 8 und 20 Uhr geöffnet....
"A “resort” in name only — a very disappointing stay
Our recent stay at Dimitris “Resort” Hotel was a complete disappointment. Calling this property a resort is a stretch; it felt more like a tired, one-star motel.
The advertised pool service and restaurant were nowhere to be found, and the palm trees supposedly lining the pool certainly did not match what we experienced. The hotel is run down, the grounds are unkempt, and even the walkway to the pool needs attention. There is nothing...

"Wir hatten einen außergewöhnlich erholsamen und schönen Urlaub im Elea Terra Hotel. Hier stimmen nicht nur Preis-Leistung, sondern vor allem auch die Atmosphäre.
Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal, frisch renovierte, saubere Zimmer, generell superschöne Räumlichkeiten, auch die Lobby mit Bar und Aufenthaltsbereich sehr gemütlich. Ein Pool mit Poolbar und wirklich sympathischer Bardame.
Herrlich unser Blick aus dem Zimmer, auf Orangen und Zitronenbäume und die Berge und umliegende Landschaft.

"You pay for the price! I mean it's cheaper for a reason the room is very small, the bathroom also! There's no place between the sink toilet or shower..They didn't do the sheets or changed the towels..The area is shady but it's close to the main attractions and downtown. You have to pay 8e for the breakfast... If you want a cheap hotel okay but don't expect big things from it.. Don't think I will come back."
