Simple, safe, affordable and great location. I also found it charming. If you aren’t looking for a Ritz experience, just a nice place to stay in Matala, then I say go for it. We were pleasantly surprised and will stay here again.

Un petit paradis

Nous sommes arrivés dans le domaine de Dimitri et avons été accueilli avec une gentillesse extrême. Les chambres sont simples, la salle de bain date un peu mais tout est calme et très propre et la gentillesse des hôtes nous a donné l’envie d’y revenir.

Super Hotel und super Personal. Einfach toll. Wenig unnötiger Luxus. Mehr Sauberkeit, Menschlichkeit, Ruhe, Wohl fühl Gefühl und gutes Frühstück. Das Personal bemüht sich sehr um die Gäste. Sie sind sehr freundlich. Auch zu denen, denen man nie recht machen kann.

Bel hôtel familial. Bon accueil et disponibilité de Dimitri. On apprécie le calme sur la terrasse au petit déjeuner ainsi que la possibilité de se rafraîchir dans la piscine avec souvent peu de monde voir personne : appréciable par rapport aux grands complexes. Très bon rapport qualité prix. La salle de bains serait certes à rénover, mais le prix ne serait pê plus aussi compétitif... Hôtel à 500m de la plage. Parking privé.

Stayed at hotel in April, during shoulder season. Wonderfully quiet, tucked back off Main Street, but walking distance to Matala Beach. Older, small hotel, with all rooms having a door and window facing the outside, which we appreciated, for sunlight and fresh air. Though simple and dated, the room was comfortable and clean. Still early and chilly for swimming in the pool and the ocean, but we knew that would be the case. Nice Greek breakfast buffet served by staff. Try the mountain tea. Staff were wonderfully friendly and professional, making our stay enjoyable. We recommend short visits to the archaeological sites of Phaestos Palace and Gortyna European Law Code (and Temples of Egyptian and Apollo) in the earlymornings, then spending the afternoons at the beach.

Pourrait etre mieux

Les chambres sont vieilles, surtout la salle de bain. Malgré que ce soit propre, elle ne donne pas envie de l'utiliser, et on pas reussi à avoir de l'eau chaude non plus. Hormis ca, le reste est ok.
