"Unfortunately we didn't quite realise just how small the cabin we booked was. I suppose this is not the facilities fault as they haven't falsely advertised it but it was seriously small. Once the sun went down if you weren't going out you were pretty much stuck laying on the bed as there's no room really to sit anywhere else.I think that they should maybe put on the website just how small they are so you know exactly what you're walking into"

"This hostel is great. It's a little out of the way if you don't have a car, but the bus is only $3 from the airport and it's only an 11 minute walk. They have chocolate pudding every evening at 8pm. *(for Americans, it's not milky, liquidy pudding, but baked "pudding".) It gets pretty cold in the fall/winter. "I don't know how Expedia could list such a property on its website. The property is indicated as a backpacker establishment but it is more a boarding house for the down and out. The premises were filthy and unsanitary, the carpet was solid with dirt and sticky, the sheets had blood stains on them, there was rubbish and boxes lying everywhere in the common areas. I felt unsafe. When I told the proprietor that I wanted to leave she insisted on taking a cancellation fee. There was nothing else...

"Great place away from the hustle and bustle of Kaiteriteri. Had everything we needed and close enough for us to visit all the places we had planned e.g. Abel Tasman walks,kayaking, boating. Accomodation very clean and comfortable. Friendly helpful hosts. "

"Cool spot outside Abel Tasman. Pool tables and darts along with a small "cinema" make any rainy days easy to pass. Bunks inside containers, cool setup."

"The twin room was next to the kitchen where people came in and had very loud concersations until 2.30am and the first people in the morning arrived at 6.30am. The only windows where to the kitchen and the hallway and there was no fresh air. Over all too hot and too noisy to get enough sleep."
