However the moment we checked in we went to the spa where the cryotherapy was broken and we couldn’t order any refreshments as the lady said she couldn’t leave her post. The breakfasts certainly set you up for the day, they were well presented and freshly cooked and came to the table hot, which was bonus. For anyone going to Oxford, we would highly recommend a stay at the River Hotel and very reasonably priced. Thanks for comfortable stay."

"The Bell Inn was gorgeous it would have received a 5 star rating if it wasn’t for the staffing issues. Housekeeping had failed to turn up that day and they hadn’t realised until nearly checking time so we never got into our room until 5.45. The staff dealt with this delay professionally and we were served with complimentary drinks. This caused us a bit of an issue as we had to leave at 6.15 for a meal elsewhere. Would definitely stay here again if in this area."

"We booked a room for one of our engineers. When he arrived they were full booked and had no rooms available for our employee. They didn’t offer to help find him another hotel. We called them with the booking reference same one our employee had shown and still no room at the inn. Totality disappointed with the staff and hotel"

"Very easy to find the property, easy self check in instructions. Great recommendations given for near by places for food and drink. Clean room and comfy bed. Only down point to the room is a floor piece trim could be put down between bedroom and bathroom due to the different height of flooring it’s a toe stubber opportunity. Property itself very presentable with it being next to a main road there wasn’t much road traffic noise. Not extremely noisy in the bar below wasn’t able to gain the...
