Positives - the security code was sent promptly and worked perfectly, this is an old jail exactly as advertised, the wall are thick, the bed was just right, and Staff were helpful. Cons - if you get a drunk idiot who comes in after midnight and forgets his code between the front door and cell…it takes the staff a bit of time to manage this. "Stayed 2nights in private double. Late check in email stated room would be unlocked - it wasn't. Nobody answered the phone. We had to stretch in the window to unlock the door. The room stank. Really horrible old damp smell. Next day we were locked out of our room with our belongings inside "pending payment" - payment had been taken online already. Took 5 phone calls to get keys to our room sorted."
