He couldn't find any record of my booking, even after showing booking confirmation and reference. The place had a musty smell and a unclean feel to it.
It looks as if there has been no attempts of upkeep at the property for years.

"The inn is steeped in history and in a remote, quiet spot. Unfortunately our room had been left with unsightly water marks as a result of a leaking roof (which has been fixed) all over the ceiling, especially above the bed, and wall. It made the room look very shabby and for the price not great value. The floating floor feels like it’s a sinking floor in some spots and you need to tread lightly. The bathroom is modern and spacious. The staff were lovely, very welcoming and friendly."
"A lovely friendly welcome upon arrival. Parking nearby easily available. Room perfect for us as a family. Very comfortable beds, had a wonderful nights sleep! Great location. Delicious breakfast with plenty of choice. Poached eggs were beautiful. Would definitely recommend and return. Went above and beyond for a very excited 10 year olds imminent birthday. Wonderful couple and a wonderful stay. Thank you. ☺️"
"Room was exceptional y clean.
Very very hot fan was supplied but did absolutely nothing (it was the hottest few days)
Only one window could open and that was a maximum of 3 inches
We will book again but study the facilities much closer . Slightly misleading when you read the descriptions where it says "hotel apartments"

"Too difficult to deal with, needed to upload ID before the stay and kept sending me a link that I couldn’t click on. Right at the last minute offered to text me the link so I could copy it, was too late by then. I decided to stay somewhere else.

"Place was closed and locked when we arrived. Had to call sister accommodation to try and open it up. First night we were the only people in the place. Stayed two nights. I never saw a single member of staff the whole time"

Really nice rooms, breakfast was brilliant and the staff were so friendly. They contacted us immediately when they found a watch of ours.
