"I had very low expectations of this place, but I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the property and room were. The room was spacious, well maintained and even had a fridge, which was a nice bonus. Now, onto the negatives. **ID requirement: I've stayed in more than seven different hotels in the area, and not one has asked me to provide ID at check-in. Why does this hotel insist on it? **£20 key deposit:** This was another surprise. None of the other seven hotels I've stayed at in the area...

"Horrible"

"A fantastic property for the money. Close to the underground and local amenities. We booked a family room for three adults and had plenty of room. On site parking saves you extra cost that other Hotels charge. Very impressed."

"Very well-maintained property."

"Refugee hostel feeling, not near any shops in the shared bathroom the whole toilet bowl was missing"

"Nothing stood out as good. I was initially in room 3. There was not even a coat hook. I had nowhere to hang my shirts. There was also no bedside lamp and no lightswitch within reach of the bed. The shower had no bracket so was not self supporting. When I complained about this they did relocate me to Room 2 which had a functioning shower and did have a hanging rail. "Decent place to stay , delicious food at Javatri"

"Kamers zijn echt vreselijk, slecht onderhouden alles zit los en is stoffig en beschimmeld. Blij dat ik maar 1 nachtje ben verbleven. Ontbijt was help jezelf maar echt niet een ontbijt waardig."

"This is my 2nd visit to this lovely hotel, it’s nice, clean and perfect location. The staff are lovely."

"All good 👍"

"Rooms were kept clean every day the staff very friendly and professional very happy to stay there .If there was any thing i would change would the size of the tv (to small ) and the toilet sink was on the small size .Other than that i enjoyed my stay"

"Good experience!"

"What a friendly bunch they are at The Old Bell. Clear the new owners and motivated to make this a great spot for all. A truly warm welcome and great chat with the staff; all keen to learn and do things the right way. They really are a credit to the management. Rooms still need a little work, mattress on the bed was not great at all, but everywhere clean and tidy. Would happily stay again when in the area for work."
