"The location of abbey lodge was great, only a few minutes walk into town. Handy for restaurants and shopping. It was a short drive to get to the rural areas which we enjoyed walking. We booked a twin room which was much bigger than the doubles we saw. It was bang for your buck! "

The bedrooms have been partially renovated but there is much to be done and there is a need for a deep clean and a repair and repaint of the rooms. But ..,., cannot make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. "
