"Was Definitely understaffed but everywhere is anymore. Front desk girl, darcy i think dont remember, was working 5am til 11pm but she never missed a beat and kept a smile on her face.. house keeping was struggling, our first room hadnt been cleaned but was no big deal just got another. "This hotel is in the middle of major renovation, and in summer 2024 the entire area around this interstate exit is under development, so there is a lot of that traffic and noise. The front walkway was getting all new concrete done. The room was totally cleaned and bedding as expected, though the bathtub needed some minor repairs. I think Southern Illinois is wonderful, I left this particular reservation early because I didn't feel safe with some of the activity I encountered nearby."
