"Fantastic stay. I had the sunrise cabin.
Gorgeous views, modern updated cabin yet full of character and comfort.
The breakfast was simple but delicious and perfect to start the day.
The owners and entire team were extremely friendly and helpful beyond the scope of just standard hospitality."
"Although this place is very basic, with essebtially no electricity or service and we werent able to complete the second half pf our rafting due to heavy rains, wr loved this place. It was exactly what we expected. We stayed two nights, and brought snacks and just took in nature. The two waterfalls we were taken to were awesome,. Especially day 2. So many beautiful bird's. Bring a Headlamp, bug spray and a deck of cards or a book!"
"I am so thrilled we booked two days here. I was not certain about it but it is such a beautiful location. The “newish” owners are so kind and welcoming. Armando, the everything guy, was our favorite CR person! He was so kind and helped with my rudimentary Spanish. My kids loved it here as well. It is not luxury, so if that is what you are looking for, this is not your place. If a great value and beautiful
location and good food is what you are looking for, I highly recommend.
Cabin was clean...
"Everything was wonderful except that the location was 30 minutes away from the Basilica Virgen de Los Angeles which our trip was for. I read that it was closer on the Expedia app. Staff was wondeeful."
"Rooms are clean, neat and pretty.
There are three bedrooms and enough room for our family (2 adults and 3 kids).
The road leading from the main street to the house is narrow, steep, and winding, making driving a bit challenging. A smaller vehicle with four-wheel drive and decent driving skills will be necessary.
The location is nice. Just 20-30 minutes to Cartago.
We had a good time there!"
"First of all - do NOT pay in advance on Hotels.com as the owner won't accept this and will claim that he never gets money from Hotels.com. I was too tired to argue, so I paid again at hotel (though I shoved him my e-mail confirmation that all was paid for). When I then was charged from both hotel and Hotels.com I had to contact Hotels.com to get my part refunded - no assistance or action from owner's side.
Hotel was clean, but materials and finish of the room was absolutely not in order, the...
