"This place is great for a little escape away from the crazy cities of Japan. After visiting Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto, the crazy crowds, crowded trains we stopped off here for a couple days before our trip back to Narita Airport. Its a quick train from Atami to Usami. Its a small, quiet town on a beautiful beach. The hotel itself is dated but immaculate, polished tile floors, the public and private baths on the property are amazing. Its a short 5 minute walk to the beach. I would recommend a taxi...

"My family of 3 stayed two nights at Hinodeya and it was a wonderful experience all around! This was our first visit to the Izu-Penninsula and we had such a great time. The owner and staff were so kind and accommodating, truly good spirits in this generational owned ryokan. The baths were very relaxing, the entire place was very clean and good spirits all around. "We really enjoyed our stay, tattoos were not a problem"

"Very nice small Hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We stayed at the annex and had a nice room with a balcony and a lovely view."

"Thank You！"

But when I checked the property details on this website, it said I booked a smoking room. The staff assured me they would change it when I called them. But...
