"This was our second time at this location and, once again, we very much enjoyed our stay. We appreciate the cleanliness of this facility throughout, the great breakfast options, comfortable room and bed. We've noticed whether this hotel is very full or not quite as busy, the service seems at the same high level. We plan to stay here again the next time we're in the area."

"The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was generous and great tasting. I recommend this property and will stay again when returning to Scranton PA"

"The staff was extremely helpful. I appreciated the water available in the lobby. The roll-in shower was great."

"Just need to fix the bathroom fixtures."

"While I was surprised that the hotel was no longer the Holiday Inn we previously stayed at, it was a very pleasant surprise to have updated, clean and comfortable accommodations. The staff was great. We had a wonderful stay and will return."

"The shower and water pressure were among the best I’ve experienced staying in hotels. The downside was the front desk was hardly ever manned and we found ourselves waiting a long time for someone to come and assist us."

"We were pleasantly surprised by this gem called Hotel Anthracite. Beautiful rooms, helpful staff, and a great addition to this small town!"

"Hotel is really nice . The front desk was amazing. They even had candies for kids for Halloween. The breakfast could use some vegetarian options"

"Look, you get what you pay for... this place was not worth quite that. The room was OK (e.g., bed and chairs) but that was about it. The TV had 4 channels (only) that pixelated/froze every few seconds, The plumbing needs a lot of work, The room does not have "heating controls" - but rather just a knob that turns the (loud) heater on or off... The walls are thin enough that I could hear conversations from 2-3 rooms away... My overall review... Ouch."

"The staff was great and super helpful!"

"Perfect stay! Bed was fantastic It is all renovated and so clean"
