"Excellent location close to the M5 and the Portishead Marina was a delight with good restaurants with views of the some attractive boats. No restaurant in the hotel is the only criticism."
"Property was excellent location to city centre train station. Perfect for us! Room was good. Bed was a bit harder than I’d like. Staff were excellent! Breakfast was good and coffee was great! A small fridge in room would be helpful. A great stay. Lots of dining choices within a short walk"
"Booked for a stay at Days Inn Southbound M5. Found out when I parked up that the hotel was on the Northbound. Had to walk over the bridge to the north side - facing oncoming traffic to get to the hotel. Car was left in the southbound car park but I paid the hotel for parking and they assured me the southbound car park would be informed. Just received a £100 fine which i will not be paying. Complained about the fact I booked accommodation on the southbound (not indication that the hotel was...
"Amazing location. Parking was a bit of a hassle, but managed to find a spot. The pub in the hotel felt like a locals spot and was amazing to sit and watch a football match. The room was nice for the night we stayed."
"Beautiful old building with great views. Heck of a climb to the top floor where our rooms were. No lifts and no help with bags. The mattresses were horrible - on all 3 beds. Afraid to speak with manager who checked us in - not friendly at all. Barked at my daughter when she asked for WIFI password (which was not given to us on registration). It was written on a piece of paper at his desk and she was told to read it herself. She thought it was funny how grumpy he was - but I was less than...
"Hatte alles was man braucht. Gutes Preis-Leistung. Mit Parkplatz super! Etwas ausserhalb des Zentrums, aber nicht weit.
Kein Personal ersichtlich. Eintritt nur mit Code möglich."
"Stayed here for one night, Hotel is good value and good location, about a 15 min walk from Stapleton Road Train Station or a 5 min walk from Bus stop, staff are great."
"Nice room & building, shame about the lack of care & attention to detail!
Arrived to find the room not made up. Ali, a kitchen worker was apologetic & accommodating & said he would call house keeping back. We went off for 1 hour but returned earlier than anticipated as my partner wasn’t feeling well.
When we came to the room, the male worker, on his phone, had an unpleasant attitude, saying he needed another 10 minutes. We said ok, but we needed to use the bathroom urgently.
He proved...
"My husband stayed at Deangate Motel due to working locally. The motel was clean staff helpful in that they let him keep the same room when he extended his stay due to not finishing his work on time. The room he was in he could see his work van clearly and the carpark was super safe as it joined the police station carpark so gave him peace of mind .will stay again as a couple so we can explore the area locally which is walking distance to Lydney. Beautiful countryside for walking."
"Great place to say. Staff very welcoming and polite. Close to Priston Mills as we were at a wedding. Great atmosphere in the pub a band played one night. Locals were sociable. Highly recommend"
