"Staff friendly. Marketing for this hotel is deceptive. Room was very small double with en-suite. Old decor, tired looking. Old windows that were really drafty - so much so curtains moved constantly and could feel the draft when sat on the bed which was close to the window as room was that small. Shower was poor, difficult to use and poor pressure. Could not stay for inclusive breakfast as had to leave before started serving. Did not feel this was value for money."

"Nice bed and breakfast with great views from our harbour view room. Staff helpful and friendly and very dog friendly. Lovely breakfast and handy being able to book a parking space. Great location to Brixham with their lovely pub down the road and plenty of nice places to eat too. Definitely recommend."

"Arrived at 9.00 Fri evening t He couldn't find any record of my booking, even after showing booking confirmation and reference. The place had a musty smell and a unclean feel to it. It looks as if there has been no attempts of upkeep at the property for years. I did not stay and found somewhere else to stay"

"We had a great stay. We were warmly welcomed and our room with bathroom was a good size and really clean. The bed was perfect. Breakfast was fantastic and we were really well looked after. Location is great for the sea front, bars, shops and bus and train station. Highly recommended."

There is a fridge and a microwave in the room which proved useful and the bed was comfortable. The shared bathroom was pristine with a walk in shower. "Room great quiet in hotel but noisy outside. I stayed on a Sunday night although I couldn't hear cars there a loud motor bike kept joy riding around the roundabout up Union Street and then up Royal Perade this went on for a 1hr. Not the hotel fault but it did mess up my sleep as this was going on 1am to 2 am"

"Fantastic location overlooking the hilltop sea views. Last minute overnight booking, with only the rear looking room available (would like to try the sea view rooms next time). Room was immaculately clean with a fan, iron (and board), hairdryer, microwave, toaster, fridge and kettle (also tea, coffee and milk, that you can have refilled if you need more). "A fabulous little traditional guest house where the personal service was fantastic. I’d read all about Hans in the reviews and thought it must be too good to be true but was very pleasantly surprised to find it to be accurate. Couldn’t have helped more, really interesting to talk to and the freshly cooked breakfast was superb! We’ll definitely be back!"

"A fantastic, spacious hotel. I couldn't believe the size of my room! The en suite was immaculate and the mini fridge with water and milk provided was a lovely touch. The manager, Louise, is lovely to deal with and makes the place feel like a home from home. I am booking for a second time this month. The car park on site is a huge bonus - no driving up and down the street looking for a space. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when in Torquay."

"Stayed for 5 nights, have stayed before. Guesthouse 2 minute walk to front. Room had small fridge and microwave which was ideal for me, was advised private bathroom but was sharing with 2 others, not happy about that but otherwise a lovely stay. Marina very helpful on arrival and chatty throughout stay. I would return."
