"Overall this property is excellent. Mattress for me a alittle soft but got used to it after a couple of days. Staff are excellent,helpful and cant do enough to be of service. Although they dont do breakfast as a option there's a excellent food wagon on their rear car park that does excellent breakfast and lunch options. Will definitely stay again in the near future "

"First time I'd stayed at the Clifton and it was a lovely stay. Lovely welcome, lovely view across the bay from my bed, and nice and clean and comfortable. Would have liked a little lamp in my room instead of the big light, and the bathroom fan didnt work but other than that it was lovely. Breakfast was self service and it was lovely, the sausages were MASSIVE and the waiter brought coffee or tea as required. Would i stay again ? Yes, most definitely. I'm a Morecambe FC season ticket holder...

"This hotel scammed us. Despite booking and paying for a double room, they pretended Expedia had only booked a single…and said they had no rooms left. They told another couple arriving later the same evening the same lie. They had clearly rebooked our rooms as soon as they could charge a higher - peak season - rate. Appalling - no one should stay here!"

"Stayed here for two nights with my friend while hiking in the area. Friendly and lovely place. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was amazing, room was clean and comfortable with an amazing view over the garden and mountains beyond. Spent our evenings watching the red squirrels, birds, deer and badgers out of the bedroom window. Perfect place to use as a base or to spend time in the gardens. We had the addition of a packed lunch made for us which was lovely, the...
