"Good location and a fridge and microwave in room. Bathroom was modern as was room and furnishings. Unfortunately no milks or coffees provided. The mugs were not particularly clean. The shower gel needed to be refilled. Small things but a bit of a pain! Hence the lower score."
"Decent size room. Comfortable bed. Walls a bit thin so can hear every noise and creaking floorboards. Pleasant enough room. Good value for money plus decent location close to amenities. Shame the derelict buildings on central drive around the corner but of course that's no fault of the hotel. Host very friendly and helpful.
Good for people on a budget.
Would stay again"
"The facilities for us was terrible had to share a toilet and shower room with 6 other residents which had not been cleaned there was used razors on the shower floor toilet paper scattered everywhere no towels and only 1 cup for tea or coffee I've got all this on my video on my phone disgusting"
"Hotel was reasonably well maintained for the price. Noisy at night though and despite saying there is parking on hotel advert there isn’t any when you actually arrive."
"Lovely owners who have run this place for over 40 years. It is set back in time, early 80s and an education and experience of that. However does have Wifi and central to the Town. I was upgraded to a larger room with en suite without asking which was a nice touch. Pleasantly surprised with the cost that it included breakfast, I had porridge, fruit juice, cooked breakfast and toast. All floors have stairs which would not be suitable for the less mobile."
"I was pleasantly surprised when I got into my room and found that it was very clean and had enough room to have a comfortable stay. The beds were really good, enough pillows so I didn't need to ask for more like other places I've stayed in. Great view of the Tower. The lift was a godsend due to my mobility issues. I can't speak highly enough of the family who run the hotel as if you are staying in their home. As a solo guest I was treated like a part of the family, which was amazing. I would...
"I misread the directions and ended up at the wrong door but a helpful man on the phone put me right straightaway. The room itself was great - clean and well-kept, comfortable bed, good kitchen facilities, good shower and the complimentary breakfast cereal and snacks were a nice touch. I had a very comfortable stay and will choose Winckley again."
