"The hotel staff was excellent! Friendly and very welcoming. The room was a little warm couldn’t seem to get the temperature lower to cool it down other than that a great stay!"

"The room was clean and comfortable. The value for the price was excellent. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars was because of several long waits for an elevator. If that’s not a big issue for you, I highly recommend you consider this hotel for your next trip. "

"I like this hotel, the staff was nice and was very helpful because our flight got canceled and delayed but they kept our reservation until we got there and help with the shuttle and it was reasonable in the price. "

"We had a nice stay at this hotel. The staff were all friendly, the rooms while not exciting clean and well cared for. The air conditioning unit in our room was fairly noisy but it worked and we found if we set the fan on low it was not a major issue. Another minor issue is the rooms are sparsely furnished. A second chair would have been nice but again was not really an issue. We'd come again if the need arrises. "

"The front desk staff at HI-NYC is on 24/7 and is extremely helpful. I was able to switch my pre-booked reservation from a dormitory room to an available private room with no issues. The hostel is a short walk from the 1 subway station. My room was clean and spacious. Just note the building has an older elevator so give yourself extra time when checking out."

"We got a special on this booking so about $270/night. 10/10 Hotel breakfast was great - hot food, lots of other options and stuff Facilities - 7/10 Water was out for some parts during the day, but we were mostly outside for those times; elevators were slow given so many people; no keycard needed to enter hotel or elevator "
