"First let me say the room was clean and I didn't see any bugs, so those things are very important. The lady who checked me in was friendly. However there were some things that need to be improved. Construction/upgrading was going on, and I know that is necessary, but we were not aware, so you may want to check before you go. A lot of the parking lot was taken up with materials and vehicles. Breakfast was very disappointing because I had stayed at another BW in June and the breakfast was great....

"Had a wonderful stay and we will absolutely be back to visit, and will recommend Laurel Valley Mountain Retreat to our East Tennessee visitors. The only issue we had was a slightly sticking keypad entry on arrival, but the staff responded quickly and once we figured it out, no more issues at all. It was a peaceful night, just what we needed after a long week. Tyler's breakfast was delicious! Can't wait to come back and stay longer."
"Very clean rooms, convenient location, and ample parking. The rooms could use more hooks on the bathroom for hanging clothes and towels and the bathroom was very small. But it was a very good room for a short stay in Bryson City."
"Nice quiet room with a wooded view and a nice carport, and working Wifi. SImple amenities in town, but the grocery was well stocked seeing as there was a grill with each unit and a bigger than mini fridge. Would recommend if you want an off the main drag and less commercialized experience."
"I love this place, it was so nice, quiet and peaceful. The remodeling of the Inn was spot on it kept the charm of the original Inn and the grounds were beautiful. The innkeeper Tim was an excellent host. We even got to meet the owner.
If you are looking for a romantic get away or just simple low key charm this is a gem found in a remote lovely location in North Carolina. We will defiantly be back."
"This property is very clean and perfect for a family getaway to the mountains. I give this property 5-Stars because it was tremendous value and met trip needs perfectly. The house is close to Cherokee and to several white-water rafting companies on the Nantahala River. One thing to note: be prepared to be unplugged. I loved it, but it took a minute for my wife and kids to accept that there is no internet or ATT cell service. No emails, no phone calls, no texts. Perfect for me, but maybe not...
