I had to fi d a Travelodge which was £2 cheaper.
Waste of time and money.

"Father and son stopover after two days of hiking during a long drive home. The Wellington Hotel was exactly what we needed — easy check‑in, no fuss, clean rooms, comfortable beds, hot showers, and a genuinely tasty breakfast that set us up for the rest of the journey. "Great PLace to stay. Its new management and just getting off the ground but the quality and provisions were excellent for the money. I cant fault it . I was the only one in the restaurant but they were attentive and the food was brilliant. hopefully theyll take off ."
"Avoid this place! Rooms were dirty there was mould all over the bathroom couple of weed smokers were in other rooms and it smelled disgusting we didn’t even spend more than 20 minutes there and they didn’t give a refund. "
"Strange share house kind of arrangement. When we arrived someone seemed to be cooking in the kitchen which was very cluttered. The towels were oversized hand towels we found in the wardrobe. There were a pair of thongs under the small desk and a tshirt in the draw. The bed was very soft."
"Very easy to find. Lovely host Sarah. 2 friendly dogs, Frank n Nim. So relaxing, a small cosy Conversion which is Very clean. Pub/restaurant a short walk via the village. Other restaurants a short drive. "

"Staff very friendly and helpful. Not a place to stay if you don't drive as public transport lacks availability. On a busy dual carriageway, bus stop a mile away on return journey. A long walk but doable especially in the summer months"
"A gorgeous little place with even lovelier owners. Nothing was too much trouble. Our dog loved it. Beds were lovely and comfy. Everything well equipped. In a great location - easy to find and easy access to York centre. Will definitely return when we visit York again."
