"My room was more like a small apartment which was clean & comfortable & the free breakfast was a nice bonus. I didn’t get chance to try the restaurant but it was busy and smelt delicious, overall a very good value for money stay & I’ll definitely stay at the George again if I’m in town."
"I liked that the property is close to other services. Was clean,just the exception of a stale smell in the bathroom but I suppose that is what you get when there are no windows to open in bathrooms. It is an old premier inn."
"Stayed one night at the Shrewsbury rooms from start to finish everything was great we stayed in room one on ground floor well the decor the cleanliness everything was lovely would definitely stay here again.
Nice little touch of takeaway cups if you want to leave with a coffee lived this.
Only thing is the pillows where a little to firm for me. But bed was comfy shower was great

"Highly recommend this hotel!! I had a wonderful stay, the facilities are so clean and have everything you need including a kitchen with air fryer, microwave and all utensils provided! The room was decorated beautifully and very clean. Check in and check out was extremely smooth and easy to do. I also received multiple messages during my stay to check everything is okay and reassure me I can contact someone if help is needed, which was great peace of mind. Also plenty of parking space right...

"The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger...
"The hotel is ideally situated for visiting Ironbridge Gorge The room and bathroom was clean and every member of we met were very pleasant and helpful.Breakfast was ok but we ate in the restaurant one night and was disappointed with the food,in our opinion it wasn’t very tasty."
"Some sort of food scattered on the floor freezing cold bedroom felt like we were in a refrigerated room. Rail on the stairs was not safe wobbled as you held onto it. Stuff were very pleasing when we arrived. Stayed for an hour and decided to move out to somewhere more suitable the same day."

"The guest house was impeccable, with excellent communication and information regarding its location and local attractions provided even before our arrival. Truly exceptional service. Upon our arrival, everything was beautiful. The entire house was spotless and exceeded all expectations. We enjoyed a lovely country walk into Ironbridge, and convenient parking was available at the property.

"We had a wonderful 3 night stay. The location was excellent, even though there are 120 steps to get upto the apartment. But the views are well worth it. We chose the location for the history in the town and to be close to the Severn Valley Railway.
The apartment was well equipped, with everything you needed. One thing I would suggest and that is to have more hanging facilities for clothes in the bedrooms. It was fine for 3 nights, but if you were there longer, you would need somewhere to put...

"Got there with 3 hot and tired children (long car journey) and my 70 year old mum only to find theyd cancelled our booking. I received no communication of this. My booking and payment had been confirmed. I even received an email the next morning to see how our stay was going and another asking us to rate our stay. We booked through hotels.com and still trying to get to the bottom of what happened. We ended up in a quadruple room in the Travel lodge (at our own expense) this was not the family...
