"The hotel is a bit far out from the shops so unless you’re reasonably fit , you might need a car. Our room was large an good sized en suite. The other problem I would point out is that, iagain if you’re struggling with walking ,or require the aid of a stick or other walking aid there’s a lot of stairs to reach some of the rooms. My husband did struggle with them. Ideal for a one night stop over."

"Good location, but not if you’re driving. There is parking but it’s only useful on the weekend. Winding hall + stairs were a little problematic, and the small room proved to be a challenge with unpacking and repacking. The hot water is HOT. Do not leave your kids with it. Loved the dark blinds and curtains as the long June Scotland daylight would have made it difficult to sleep. The bed was a bit stiff (not much give, and might not have been level for a decade). "First off, we weren’t in the main hotel building, so I can’t comment on that other than it looked ok from reception. We were in the row of rooms to the right of of the main entrance, along the main road. A surprisingly noisy main road. The room was spacious, but stank of wet dog.
