"The room i received was an attic type room, very small and compact. Was ok for weekend stay but would have been terrible for longer. Room was clean and tidy cant fault that, the staff were amazing, very polite, very helpful. Limited onsite parking but wasnt busy so had parking all the time, there is street parking next to hotel too. From what I saw there was a kebab house, Chinese takeaway and a decent sized Asda store all within 5mins walk, main town, shopping and stadium less than 10mins drive...

"Overall, the property was clean and tidy, the staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was decent. However, one of the rooms had no working shower and despite reporting it first thing in the morning, it still wasn’t repaired when my dad returned. They did offer to move him to another room, but it was late and he just wanted to get to bed. Also, the beds were really uncomfortable and the pillows were so thin, I had to use all 4 of them. Rooms would benefit from blackout...

"Lets start from the entrance, the door broken. The person at the reception was ok, i must admit. The room? A disaster!! Old floor carpet not clean. The shower old and with signs of wear. The toilet was shaking. The door of the shower room broken. The ceiling had cracks and i woke up in the night as water was dripping from them.. It was a nightmare. Early morning i went to the reception, the person there (a different one) all he could say was that he was sorry.. We left... NEVER NEVER...

We could either pay an insurance fee or a deposit which would be returned minus an administration fee 14 days after we vacated the property - why 14 days? There was no clear information about this requirement until after the booking was made, by which time we could not cancel. We assumed that due to the operation of a scheme...

"Good location. Quiet. Cleanliness was improved upon request. Owner was unaware on the level of cleanliness provided by local contractors. Improved satisfactorily. Good play area for children. Walk around Derwent reservoir cannot be achieved due to areas of private land. Good birdwatching locations/huts."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Cote cottage and it was the perfect size for us. It had everything we wanted. It is slightly remote and peaceful but that's exactly what we wanted, however it's not far to get to local amenities. Check in was a smooth process. There is also free on-site parking for the car which was a must for us. The beds were comfy too. In the end, we were sad to leave. We will definitely look to coming back if we're in the area again!"

"Beautiful Location and Immaculate Cottage! Everything spot on. Just a 5 min walk from the Wedding Venue. Local Spar shop with everything you need (or forgot!). Hosts are easily contactable via email, text or phone. Highly recommend this Cottage. Definately stay again!"
