"They messed up our payment. Keep trying to charge our card when it was paid through Expedia .Some of the front desk person was rude and unprofessional the manager wasn’t any better. I’ve worked in hotels for a lot of years and never would I treat guest like that and mess someone’s payment up."

"The Queen beds were comfortable, the pillows were AMAZING! The hostess checking us in was so helpful, polite, and shared everything the hotel has to offer. My kids loved the pool! The breakfast was wonderful. We appreciated that it started at 6:00am and the staff member working the breakfast room was so kind and personable. The kids enjoyed the game room! We will definitely be staying again and recommending to others. This is the hotel to stay at if you are in Des Moines.!!"

"Staff was excellent in working with us. We were visiting due to a family emergency and they kept us in the same room after having to extend our stay. Room was clean and good amenities. Breakfast had a limited menu but was tasty with good hours. There was also an indoor pool. Plenty of parking with dining options within walking distance and / or a short drive. Would stay again. "

"Place was falling apart. The heating and air didnt work there was huge gap in door. The jaccuzi was closed but nothing was mentioned on there web page. The pool was supper cold. And the place smelled like pot."

"I didn't like anything. Place smell like weed and cigarettes, our bedroom didn't even had a restroom door. Walls had yellow stains and curtains were soo dirty too. Not kid friendly at all."

"There were multiple stains on the floor that looked like someone may have spilled their coffee. The bathroom wall were not properly cleaned. The shower was dirty and did not drain properly. We decided to put towels over the stains instead of switching rooms because we had been during since 5am and just wanted sleep. "I have never stayed in such a run down nasty hotel. It’s by the highway, and you hear it loud and clear. Never again. Traveled to Winterset after leaving Des Moines stayed a a hotel called Cobblestone it was beautiful, very clean, free breakfast, great service, bar. For a few dollars more than the hotel in DesMoines. I will stay there from now on, even though it’s an hour outside of DesMoines."
