"The staff was helpful and friendly but there was a smell in the room as if someone had smoked there but it was at least mostly clean. There were burn holes in the blanket and strange sticky goop stuck to the floor. The shower didn't get very hot but was warm enough to use. I also didn't like that there was only one entrance. It was not very convenient. Rooms weren't very sound proof either so I could hear tvs around me."

"Hotel that allows smoking says it all"

"It was quite as always I’m Regular there with my boyfriend we love it"

"Decent place for the price, they could improve the breakfast spread (for protein they were serving just sausages without eggs). May be it is just that day situation."

"I saw someone else write a review that said it was weird the curtains didn't go all the way down in the window area and they were right, which was a bit odd... Also the doors to the rooms are HEAVY! You can hear them slamming in the night while trying to sleep and it's no one's fault, they just automatically slam due to their weight. I wouldn't allow my senior father to handle the door at all as I didn't trust they wouldn't knock him over. On one of our two mornings, the breakfast ladies...

"For the price it was a decent enough hotel to sleep for the night. Definitely needed some bathroom upgrades, and the free continental breakfast is very limited. Again, not a bad place to stay for the price for one night."

"Very good"

"Check in took forever. TV wasn’t working so we went to the desk to tell them and there was no urgency to help with that so I called there and he told me to be patient and then showed up and was very annoyed. He stormed in with a remote and got my tv working and stormed out. Quite rude! I won’t stay there again or recommend it."

"Muy lindo"

"Our family has been using American Inn in Branford, CT as a rest stop to visit my wife's mother in New Hampshire. It is a short trip (under 2 hours) to get a head start out of the New York metro area after evening rush hour. All rooms are accessed from the outside right in front of your parking space. They have two queen beds and rooms are always clean... and the price is right 😉 It is perfect for our trip!"

"Very helpful and accommodating staff!"

"There was a lot of small flys in the bathroom and shower area."
