"Very comfortable large room in the garden of the pub. Oak beams, beautiful flowers outside the window and a very comfortable bed. The continental breakfast was eaten in the room. Unfortunately although the milk & fruit juice in the fridge were ok I am coeliac so the cereals and croissant were not suitable. When I told the young lady behind the bar she immediately went to a local shop and came back with a box of GF cereals and a GF loaf. Excellent service. Maybe a toaster in the room would be...

"Just a one nights stay at the Kicking Dicky before a flight out of Stansted, which was chosen for it's ideal location and at a better value than the generic hotels. No issues with the room which is external to the pub, so was nice and quiet. The food was decent with a good selection a beers. Overall a nice find and would be happy to stay again."

"A very cute place to stay in a lovely market town. Parking nearby (free on Sundays and overnight). Access to the rooms, due to the nature of the historic building, is not the easiest (uneven floors, narrow corridors and stairs). "Very tatty at the back of the hotel was not fully open and it was an Indian restaurant. No breakfast. There was a toilet roll in the bathroom which was soiled on the side would not stay there again."
