"This hotel was truly awful and not at all worth the money we paid. The carpets throughout the hotel are destroyed and heavily stained. There were stains everywhere in the room, on the ironing board, floors and curtains. The room was unbearably hot with one fan which did nothing to cool it down. There was one window which again did nothing to cool the room down. The glasses left in the room were filthy and unusable, the kettle and the WiFi did not work. The bathroom smelt really strongly of the...

"Location was convenient for us but the room was noisy with music playing until after 11pm on both nights. Strange smell in the room and no reading lights or fridge."

"Our stay at the Royal Clarence Hotel was wonderful! The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and conveniently located to be able to walk to most places!"

"Staff were really friendly on arrival, had already filled up and heated the hot tub. Room was clean and was lovely to stay in, couldn’t ask for more. Will defiantly use again"

"A great location at good sheds, the food area was really good with lots of different types of food. Also close to Asda in case you need to buy anything and a 10 minute walk to the sea front which was lovely with nice easy walks either side of the main beach. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of storage...

"Lovely staff."

"I'm sure I could have given 5 stars for everything had we been able to stay. Never received check-in information and Stayright couldn't confirm our booking even though I emailed receipts of payment and booking details from Wotif. Said problem had something to do with booking through Wotif. Took 3 hours to reach a solution which in the end was finding us another property to stay in. That part we were extremely grateful for, but the whole process was extremely stressful."

"Potts was closed, no one told me before I arrived "

"Great location, eclectic decor, fully equipped except for a delayed TV control."
