We ate in the restaurant and the staff couldn’t be faulted and were very attentive and helpful. Alfred's Tower A triangular commemorative folly with circular turrets at each corner, it was completed in 1766 by Henry Hoare (the Younger) of Stourhead in tribute to the achievements of King Alfred.
