"Whem comparing hotels in the area, and other hotels in upper Michigan, this is an outstanding hotel. Clean, quiet, and friendly. Most northern Michigan hotels are very dated, and in rough around the edges. My wife and I enjoyed the stay, and would not only recommend, but book another stay."

"Older hotel, most of it isn’t in use (but can’t see from the part that is in use). The part they are using it is very nice, freshly remodeled, and is very nice. They pool and hot tub where clean and well kept. From what we say from the outside (none used area) when we got inside we were pleasantly surprised! Great Stay"

"I cant say enough positive things about our experience with the staff at Stearns. We were in town for a wedding doing hair all day. We needed to check in to the hotel early to get ready . There was a mistake on my part in booking and they went out of there way to get us in the right room. I will definitely stay and recommend them. They went way above and beyond to accommodate my mistake."
