"A lovely scenic location with a lot of history. It is has a lot of original features, so fairly steep stairs to access the rooms. My room was clean and had a large modern bathroom, there were quality white cotton bedsheets and a comfy bed. I appreciated the tea and coffee making facilities in the room. "The shepherds hut was cosy and comfy. It's a very peaceful and tranquil site. They have set it up so everyone gets to enjoy a beautiful view you wake up to. Location is handy and convenient for activities in the surrounding areas."
"Big room, very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Convenient breakfast already in our room when we arrived. It was a little tricky finding the right place to park on our first day but the owner directed us and we had no problem after that. Very convenient for visiting Stonehenge, Salisbury, and Old Sarum by car. Ate dinner on the same street at the George Hotel."

Beautiful apartment,
No communication when I was asking for wifi password as the TV was not working properly could not find the wi fi router, definitely not in the apartment. Just wanted to watch the final of the world Cup , went to the local pub instead The Goddard brilliant friendly pub.
The bedroom next to the bathroom part of the carpet was always wet after shower needs attention ASAP looks like a long term problem.

"the Barge is a pub with accomodation in a very good location, about 10 minutes walk from the town centre. Although the staff are welcoming and the room was clean, the overall appearance of the pub is that it is shabby and run down. The carpet on the staircase leading to the bedrooms was grubby and had a large hole in it. outside the garden furniture has seen better days and there is a canopy which has come adrift from its fixings and been lashed to the outside bar. "our stay at the shepherds hut at the retreat was absolutely fantastic. Stunning location, full of character and charm. Loved be surrounded by, horse , donkeys and alpacas. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be returning here soon. Nicky and Jules "
