"We arrived and was shown we're too park, behind the premises, they also had storage for my friends motorbike. We checked in and was shown to are room ,which was on the top floor . Room was clean very old fashioned but was full off character. Had Kettle and tea/coffee/biscuits/hot chocolate etc, Beds were comfortable and clean bedding. "The hotel was only 5 mins walk to Aira force fabulous walks nearby. The food at the hotel was amazing as was the breakfasts. Free parking onsite a really lovely place to stay would definitely stay again"
"A lovely pub with a stunning beer garden and direct access to the canal path for walks to Carnforth Morecambe and Lancaster. Only issue was the heat in the room which I appreciate it was unusually hot but room 3 also has a large noisy extractor fan outside the window so it was either heat or noise. The fan does get turned off at night. Would still stay again and the food was excellent."

"I have nothing to compare it with as this is my first experience of youth hostels in 40 years. I was impressed. I loved the open area, bar and restaurant. The dormitory was excellent. "The accommodation is very clean, free hot drinks while we stayed and staff very nice, it could do with a lick of paint in certain areas. The location is amazing for walking to both Grasmere and Ambleside. We went to the local pub to watch the badgers. The grounds of Rydal Hall are beautiful and include the grot and a waterfall, Would stay again."
"Overall we had a lovely time in Ambleside, the house itself was a bit grubby could do with a thorough clean, it said onsite parking on Expedia there is no parking it wasn’t a problem we parked in the village and paid £8 a day but shouldn’t be wrongly advertised, we tried to contact the property owners a couple of times about parking and the rubbish collection but still waiting for a reply, it is a lovely little house in a good location."

I had to spent an hour to clean which something you do not expect in your holiday.
Location was perfect. Easy parking , Just 7 min drive from Windermere. There is local shop around so easy to get stuff."
